SHRIEK IN PORTLAND

Many thanks to Edward Morris Jr, Jay Lake, and 23rd Avenue Books for their participation in the Portland, Oregon, Shriek movie showing. Edward and Jay worked their butts off.

The squid. Ed says: "As far as the Shriek party is concerned, the squid ended up being hucked at my former employer's place of business at about 3AM during the first rainy night in September by several drunken Reds and Greens, along with numerous eggs and spirit-lamps. I made Molotov cocktails for the event, but was shouted down. But half a dozen eggs did the job.

SHRIEK EVENT--CHICAGO

Think Galactic is proud to host a screening of the short film based on Jeff VanderMeer's new novel, Shriek: An Afterword. We are hosting this event as a fundraiser for our first leftist SF convention, Think GalactiCon.

There will be door prizes and other goodies. The lovely folks from Women & Children First will be present with copies of the novel that you may purchase.
